About this case
Jonathan "Jon" Estes was last seen on June 2, 2018, in Bogue Chitto, Lincoln County, Mississippi, where he lived. He worked in construction, a job that often took him out of state, and he traveled extensively across the country.
About two weeks after he was last seen, his truck was found in a field off Wallace Drive. The sheriff said investigators determined Jon had left it there, and there were no signs of foul play. Since then, his bank records have shown no activity, and his email and social media accounts show no trace of where he might be. His family believes he would have reached out to his children.
Jon is a father of two. His sister describes him as everybody's friend: loyal, a hard worker, and a daddy first and foremost, whose children were his life. His father, a minister, said Jon had never met a stranger. Sadly, his father passed away in June 2023 without learning what happened to his son.
Jon was born in Kellogg, Idaho and lived in Post Falls from 1993 to 2003, attending Post Falls High. Before he went missing, he was in frequent contact with people in North Idaho, so tips from that area may be especially valuable.
Identifying marks
A large scar across his nose
A large scar on his head from a work accident
A perfectly round scar on his right upper arm
A tattoo on his back of a cross surrounded by red and orange flames
