Samantha Tapp went missing on October 12, 2004, from her residence in Burleson, Texas.
Prior to her disappearance, her sister moved out of the residence she and Samantha lived in with their grandparents. One day, Samantha showed up at
her sister’s door saying she had gotten into an argument with her grandfather and didn’t want to stay there. Her sister told her she was going to have to go
back, at least in the meantime, until she could figure out a way for Samantha to legally stay with her. Her sister never saw her again.
A few days after her disappearance, some of Samantha’s clothing was taken from her grandparents’ home.
In 2007, Samantha allegedly called an uncle and requested to live with him. She called back some time later saying that she had met a man and was
moving to Melbourne, FL, instead. That story changed in 2015, when authorities were then told that she had actually showed up at her uncle’s
home with an infant in tow. Allegedly the uncle’s wife didn’t recognize her and turned her away.
Since then, there have been reports that her name had been run through the NCIC, but there have been no confirmed reports that it was, in fact, her. Due to confidentiality laws that exist in Texas, her records are protected, since she was a juvenile when she went missing. Burleson Police contracted with PI L.
Barry from PIFTM to consult on the investigation, thereby allowing him access to the reports. Samantha was recently featured in a NewsNation Missing
segment. (see link below)
Samantha may also use the last name Vandiver. She was 16 years of age at the time of her disappearance. Samantha is approximately 5 Feet 5 Inches tall and weighed approximately 120 lbs. when she disappeared. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
