Wilda Mae Benoit was 14 years old when she disappeared from her home in Creole, Louisiana, on July 23, 1992. She had recently been released from the hospital after suffering a shoulder injury and was reportedly still affected by pain medication. Wilda was initially considered a runaway, but her family strongly disputed that explanation. Investigators later classified her as an endangered missing person.
