Yetanayet Tamaret

Last Seen: 1996

Case Summary

Yetanayet, an African American female, born in Ethiopia, went missing from Fairburn, Georgia  in October of 1996.  She was 17 at the time of her disappearance. Her sister had been removed from the home due to allegations of sexual abuse by her father. Yetanayet was reported as as "runaway" a short time later. This report was later withdrawn, however, no one has seen her since.

Due to the fact that she was expected to be a witness in the sexual assault case, foul play is strongly suspected. Jurisdictional issues have complicated the investigation.
